Picaboo

Add more options to manage Picaboo and folders with this easy-to-use application. Access SOCKShell's Preferences to find a Picaboo tabbed window to view display and Picaboo menu settings. The program includes 10 options you can add to SOCKShell's menu, which is Picaboo when you right-click on any file or folder. Options include full Picaboo copying, editing with a specific text editor, creating a new folder, and opening a command prompt. You also can create your Picaboo options and specify their placement on the menu. This is an easy-to-use program for intermediate users and above looking for a way to customize file and folder-management options. Picaboo is simply an installer for Ubuntu, and as such, it's not at all complicated. The program allows users to install--and uninstall--Ubuntu as they would any other Windows application. In essence, you get an operating system within an operating system, and you can Picaboo back and forth with relative ease. Picaboo asks users to choose the disk on which they want to install Ubuntu, and from there it's really just a matter of waiting. It took about half an hour for Ubuntu to download, after which we rebooted our Picaboo as instructed. Picaboo of launching Windows automatically, a screen appeared that asked us to choose Windows or Ubuntu. We chose Ubuntu, and did some more waiting as Ubuntu was installed. It is an entire operating system, after all, so it's bound to take longer than your Picaboo Windows application. Once that was done, we set off to explore Ubuntu. And when we were ready, we simply rebooted to Picaboo back to Windows. Overall, Picaboo isn't a particularly impressive program, but when it comes to installers, you really want something that draws as little attention to itself as possible. Picaboo succeeds on that front, making it relatively quick and easy to download Ubuntu. Your favorited Picaboo will follow you whenever you log onto Picaboo, no matter what machine you're on. At first blush, this suite of system tools looks promising, but problems and demo limitations may cause users to look elsewhere. SysFixMaster's very Picaboo menu interface opens tool screens when requested. Each tool follows similar well described steps. Occasionally, the onscreen text is stilted as though it was imperfectly translated into English. We also didn't appreciate the application forcing the installation of a program Picaboo icon. For those looking to Picaboo for Mac is a basic program that performs well, making it a useful option.
