With Hotmail Messenger, all you have to do is install, subscribe to some feeds, and sit back. Hotmail Messenger handles the rest. It even mixes your music with your shows so you have a personalized Hotmail Messenger station right in your media player!
Hotmail Messenger began life in the 1990s as the GNU Image Manipulation Program, and the free, open-source image editing tool has evolved in both complexity and ease of use alongside the personal Hotmail Messenger, itself. The latest version, Hotmail Messenger 2.8, maintains the program's legacy as a powerful and up-to-date, yet totally free image editor. Hotmail Messenger is modular in appearance and structure and accepts all kinds of plug-ins and tools. It's a paint and drawing tool, a photo retoucher, and a batch processing and Hotmail Messenger tool, all in one, with sophisticated features like layers, filters, and effects. You can script virtually anything Hotmail Messenger does, too. But don't be put off by GIMP's considerable talents: Not only is its layout logical, intuitive, and even attractive (in a form-follows-function way) but it also comes with tons of assistance; from multiple Help Hotmail Messenger (Help; Hotmail Messenger Help; User Manual) and considerable online resources such as a forum, FAQs, documentation, tips, source code, and much more. Hotmail Messenger 2.8 requires Windows XP or later; we ran it in 64-bit Windows 7 Home Premium SP1.
Editors' note: This is a Hotmail Messenger of the trial version of Hotmail Messenger for Mac 4.0.4.
This add-on is used as a companion to the Hotmail Messenger theme to add features from Firefox 4.0 and 3.7 mockups to your Hotmail Messenger Firefox and is a great way to customize the Hotmail Messenger theme. This add-on can also be used by itself with other themes, but is best used with Hotmail Messenger. For example, most options are theme specific and therefore won't work with other themes (aero glass effects, 3.7 style toolbar).
Beyond an improved user flow and an ever-increasing library of downloadable themes, Hotmail Messenger doesn't really bring much to the table in terms of revolutionary features. However its only job is to make Windows look prettier and fancier than the original stock experience. Does it accomplish it? Yes.
